Happy Holidays Everyone! It has been an...eventful year, 2013. This will probably be the last post of the year, and although I usually do a 'round up' post, don't feel quite like doing so right now (not a very happy 2013 :( ) and so....

 So I was complaining about the yellow drink earlier? YEP. turns out I might have accidentally tainted the polyester dye with red maybe? Or that the yellow isn't as yellow as they claim T-T in any case, I tried different mediums to colour the epoxy resin and they didn't have the transparency I required for this request. SO. I will list these on my Etsy this week. Along with these pizza slices....

made more mushroom ones cos...well.....YUMMEH! This time I made it more swiss-cheese like :9

Miniature Parfaits, Sundaes, Milkshakes and Shaved Ice Desserts!

Lovely cool weather we're having today :) It's been too warm and hazy lately, and being shut in with the windows meant my fan was working overtime (and the air-conditioning, fwoarrr)....so rain is definitely welcome :)

There have been quick sales on a few items already, and some were reserved by customers who had requested I make some newer desserts, so apologies if you had your heart set on them :( 

Also, will no longer be accepting custom requests (except for the one reserved slot!) as I prepare for a change in my ....what is it..'art direction'? things around me have always been chaotic, and so I want a more purposeful and calming work environment. This will not only help me heal up (chronic hand/shoulder/wrist injuries and other wonky bits), it will also allow me more time to work on projects which have been neglected. especially in 1:12, the preferred scale for me to work in.

This doesn't mean this dolly blog will be abandoned, no! There's still the November doll event, and of course my darling Clover who still needs a summer wardrobe :P meanwhile, I wish to concentrate on my original miniature blog, http://snowfern-clover.blogspot.com, and updates on my facebook page as well as Instagram are more frequent, do follow/like etc to stay in touch! links are to the right of the blog, but here they are again:

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! I've just had my reunion dinner with my family, and am very sleepy now XD

Clover of course gets some goodies as well! Here are some traditional Nonya new year treats, clockwise from top:

Clover took a nibble out of this one ;) As a kid, this used to be my favourite snack, not limited to just the Chinese New Year period. If i had to describe how it tastes like, would be a drier version of a sponge cake perhaps? and a much crisper outer layer :) Dunking it into a cold cup of Miranda orange.....mmmm! wish I had some now :P

She has quite the sweet tooth it seems! I've made some 1:4 donuts, and figured it was time for Clover to earn her keep :E (and yes, I also made that pearl headband ^ ^)

I've also taken photos of Clover with some 1:3 goodies, even though they're gigantamous in her hands :O so cute though XD she'll get a tummyache if she ever finishes even one!

ahh. much better :) I like this design so much, I've kept one for myself ^ ^ The other one i made is available of course, in my Etsy store :)

I'm guessing the size is also good for 1:6 YoSD dolls too, though they might be a little big, but hey, donuts come in all sizes :D

terrible shot, was losing daylight, and it had started to rain....sorted through my stocks and it kind of seemed like a daunting task, taking photos being one of my pet peeves.....

 Beautiful ispahans...I love these shots of her!

but as I started taking photos of her, it seemed less irritating since she's really very photogenic, and finally my foods have some sense of context.....^ ^

and look who's moving into her new home! I cleared out a space which I had intended to convert into a 'room' once I owned a BJD,....and Clover finally arrived so YAY!!! 

she's even got friends to join her :P

I will be creating some furniture for her, but I have a few commissions to complete before I can fully concentrate on that :( And I do have one more post to do, which is how I made her skirt and underskirt :) That will be in my next post, so please check in again!
