1:3 miniature Tempura Commission

1:3 assorted miniature Tempura, air dry clay, polymer clay, acrylic paint, mixed media, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin

1:3 miniature assorted vegetable tempura
 1:3 miniature assorted seafood tempura
1:3 miniature dipping sauce with grated radish

Apologies for the photos....I have to head out in the afternoon and wanted to update my customer first....will try and take better photos if I have the time to do so .....I spent quite a lot of time on this commission as my customer wanted some custom dipping sauce bowls and plates!

I had been meaning to make these for the longest time, and decided to make a mold out of a master I made (which broke during the molding process T-T) You can see the mold at the back haha it's a messy job but whatever, it works! For these, I used a quick cure polyurethane resin, although it takes only less than 15 mins to set and be removed from the mold, the working time was only less than 2 mins. Which meant a lot of wastage. :-/ Ah well. I don't think I'll make much more of these, I did make an additional 4 sets in preparation for SGDC2014. So watch out for those :)

(and they are not for individual sale, sorry!)

My lovely customer had given me the time to work on the plates, and left the design up to me :) I was feeling a little more adventurous and came up with these 2. Used up the last of my gold leaf on the plate on the right....it looks better in real life, kind of difficult to capture the effect with my crappy photography skills.

Will be booking my wedding dinner venue this evening! Things are definitely getting busier and busier around here....the countdown has begun!~~ *DUN DUN DUNNNNNN*
